Made in the USA The P320® stands as a leader in SIG SAUER’s premier pistol line and the K320 duly embodies the same precision manufacturing standards, prevailing as the pistol’s trustworthy companion. Designed by Jim Bruhns, master tool maker and president of Hogue Knives, the K320 advances as the very first polymer frame knife in the SIG SAUER knife line with no shortage of intention throughout its design. A bold, robust blade comprised of premium S30V blade steel initiated the K320 concept. CPM S30V was selected for its excellent edge retention and leading corrosion resistant properties, proving to be the ideal blade steel choice to overcome demanding circumstances. Each blade is finished from the same exact vendor as SIG SAUER® firearms in Black Cerakote® or Coyote PVD, depending on the model pairing. The blade maintains a high grind profile and keen edge, leading into an auxiliary hold feature. The lack of sharpened edge creates a forward guard located at the interior of the blade edge and axis of the knife. This detail allows the index finger to travel incredibly close to the blade edge without risking injury when performing delicate and precise cutting tasks. While this type of cutting hold is normally awkward for the user’s index and middle fingers, the ergonomic design of the K320 accommodates natural hand adjustment. The execution of the K320’s polymer frame accompanies the unique characteristics of the blade. The blade gently falls into the frame with precision clearance and minimal leak points for debris. Nylon 12 polymer was deliberately chosen for the frame, not only to match the same polymer composition and color concentrations as the P320 pistol, but to achieve dimensional stability and a proportionate finished product. Unlike most polymer competitors, the K320 frame is not cored out. This decision increased the knife’s overall strength and produced a uniform balance between the blade and the frame. Conclusively, the frame texture parallels the P320 in both the pattern details and aesthetic perimeter. With this knife being geared towards the tactical operator, major snag points were addressed on the front end of the design process. To replace what would generally be a thumb stud, a triangular window was utilized for low profile deployment. This aspect allows the thumb to glide across the blade surface for ease of action and matches the aesthetic of the triangular magazine release on the P320 pistol. The manual models house an ABLE Lock™ mechanism, slightly recessed into the polymer surface for minimal interference and swift action. The K320 is also available with a button lock automatic mechanism for immediate deployment. The frame features an ambidextrous pocket clip with louvres that can be positioned in a tip up or down, right or left handed configuration. The louvres provide additional grip on the pocket clip for effortless retrieval. An asymetrical lanyard hole ensuring minimal paracord movement completes the frame package. The K320 is available in a wide range of variations to match specific models within the SIG P320 line, including the P320 Nitron® , P320 X5 LEGION™, and the P320 M17® /M18® Related
