Flannel fabric itself was first developed in Wales in the 17th Century, where weavers discovered that by adding the ‘nap’, they created an uncommonly soft fabric that kept warmth in better despite its lighter weight. Its brushed surface has a distinctive raised texture known as napped flannelette. The napped cotton is dry finished by raising fibres on the surface to produce a ‘fuzzy’ feel and appearance. It is this ‘fuzziness’ that retains the warmth and creates the softness. It also became popular in nightwear because it has the ability to absorb and then release perspiration – helping to avoid waking up in a pool of sweat! Washing Instructions – Manufacturer says: 30 degree machine wash. Warm tumble-dry. We strongly recommend testing a small piece first to be sure.
Delivery
We deliver all around the UK using DHL and Parcelforce. Standard delivery will take 1-5 working days to reach you. However, once the order is received, we will contact you to give you a more precise timescale. Usually, we will deliver the next day, subject to the date and time of when the order is received and the product.
Orders placed during the weekend will be processed the following Monday for delivery the following day. In the case of Bank Holidays, your order will be processed the next working day and delivered the following working day.
Remote areas: For orders to some addresses, especially in the Highlands of Scotland and Offshore, next day delivery options are not available, and delivery can take several days. Saturday delivery is unavailable for these areas.
